Jennifer Brown proudly serves as the Principal of Heartwood Community School, bringing over 16 years of experience in public education and a deep commitment to cultivating a joytul, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.

With a passion for academic excellence and whole-child development, Jennifer leads with heart, vision, and a belief in the power of community. She believes that every child has unique gifts and potential, and that it is the shared responsibility of educators and families to nurture these strengths through

encouragement, connection, and curiosity-driven learning.

PURPOSE. Outside of school, Jennifer has been married to her husband, Michael, for 19 years. They are proud parents to two daughters, Liligrace (17) and Madeline (15), who inspire her daily to lead with empathy and purpose.

LEADERSHIP. Jennifer is especially passionate about early education and is committed to ensuring that all students at Heartwood experience a safe, inspiring, and enriching start to their academic journey. She fosters a school culture grounded in kindness, creativity, and exploration-where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
